We have a church!

*image swiped from w@wie website

It is now definite. We will get married in San Agustin! Aside from it's historic nature, San Agustin has a very lovely interior. O yeah, the long aisle (so I can flaunt my gown ha ha ha!) is just an added bonus.

Of course, I can't fail to mention that they are also very accomodating. Some churches that we inquired with had asked that we come home at least 3 months prior to the wedding to take care of things such as interviews and seminars. I just can't have that because we have time restrictions at work. We'd love to get married in the Philippines but we also need our jobs, right?

San Agustin allows couples to have the canonical interview two weeks before the wedding. and since I won't get confirmed until easter of 2006, they also agreed that I just bring the certificate on the interview. It's such a relief!

just passing a recent tag to fellow w@wies...

1. what are the things you enjoy doing when there's no one around you?

i like listen to relaxing and sometimes sad lovesongs...call me crazy but sometimes it's my only way of letting all the tensions out of my system. I'm known to everybody as a pretty strong gal. With all the stress in this world, I am very good at hiding them from people...matibay kuno...so when I finally get a chance to be alone, although not as often as I'd like to be(well, not sure if this is such a good idea) I JUST LOCK MYSELF IN MY ROOM AND CRY IT ALL OUT!

2. what lowers your stress/blood pressure/anxiety level?

Babies! there's nothing like seeing little angels' sweet smiles...not too sure if having too many of them of my own though will calm me down :). I also like to go on long walks whenever I feel like screaming already...AND OH YEAH, CRYING IT ALL OUT! Sensya na, emotional lang talaga ako heheheh...

3. tag five friends and get it posted on their blogs.

Manila it is!

After quite a number of painkillers and well, a couple of ear plugs hehehe...we have decided to go for a manila wedding. Although it'd be nice to have it in Tagaytay dahil very relaxing dun, we thought that it would be easier for our guests if we have it in manila. Mas accessible kase. Mangilan-ngilan na nga lang relatives and friends namin sa phils eh baka pag nag-out-of-town pa kami eh wala ng makarating di ba?

So, comes the church hunt...we are eyeing San Agustin church since Fernwood gardens is out of the picture. Hopefully, they are still available on our day para all that we have to worry about is the venue. I am told that there are a lot of options around Intramuros naman so I'm not so worried.

I'm back!....I think....

My dilemma with regards to my name is finally over...I'm sooo happy because I can start picking up where I left off...so I thought.Weird, but I feel like I have to start from the very beginning again...I'm just happy that I have you mga sis to lend your helping hands...A couple of questions kaagad ha...ganun 'no :)

First, yung "legal capacity to marry" document ba has to be acquired from the embassy in the Philippines or pede din sa "adopted"country? I am told that since h2b and I have acquired a Canadian citizenship, that we have to get this document from the Canadian embassy...The problem is time. I don't have a lot of vacation days left from work kaya going home to get this document is almost impossible for me....I'm crossing both my fingers & toes na sana I can get this from Canada na lang.

Pangalawa, can I ask anyone for ideas, pros and cons of an out-of- town (particularly Tagaytay)wedding please!!!! I've always thought of a garden reception and Manila venues were the Only option that I was open to then. My coordinator raised the subject, and it got me thinking...I'm confused!!!!

Arrrrrgggggghhhh!!!!!!

Just been soooo stressed out lately. Our wedding plans is sort of on hold. There is a discrepancy on my birth certificate so we don't want to hire any vendor as of yet. Sayang naman yung babayad sa kanila kung di maayos yung problema muna. We did hire a lawyer to fix it and hopefully it all works out. Otherwise, we may just have to wed in Canada. It would be easier to fix it if I am in the Philippines. But there is no way for me to be able to come home anytime soon because I need to do some studying for my upcoming certification exam. Between work, school, wedding planning and everything else in between, I don't think I'll even have any free time at all to enjoy the very short summer of Canada. Waaaaa.......

Venue issues...

The good news is, mukhang uso ang kasalan sa pinas. Bad news for us. Fernwood gardens is booked for the next 12 months.....grrrrr.....we've now opted to other venues. I asked our coordinator to have an occular inspection on the other venues that she recommends, the coconut palace, Puerta real or Patio Victoria, all in Intramurous. This will also mean that we have to find a church for the ceremony. Apparently, 'di na pala pede ang ceremony sa garden. Nawawala daw kase blessing kapag hindi sa harap ng altar:) Sayang, sa Fernwoods sana meron silang onsite chapel:(

Lesson learned

Got an sms from Helena today. Hindi pa rin nya natatanggap yung pinadala ko last Friday. Normally, it takes an hour to a day for it to get to the Philippines. It was my fault though, mali account number na nalagay ko, hay!!!! I have called the remittance office to have it fixed and they said that it will take an additional 24 hours for it to happen. O well, ala naman akong choice. As for next time, Western union is the way to go.>>>>>
